“ I had the meatloaf which was amazing my daughter had the Ribeye Steak Sandwich which of course I had to get a bite and let me tell you it was flavor country and the onion rings foget about it, they were on point!! Definitely going back ”

“ Super cozy small tavern/restaurant. Had a pizza cooked perfectly. Crust was perfect, sauce was perfect, and toppings perfect. Ate almost the entire pizza, I couldn't stop myself. Lady behind the bar was attentive and helpful, place would be a regular hangout if it was closer to home. Whenever I near, I will definitely stop in for more. ”
“ Stopped in around 2 pm on a weekday; had a couple beers and ordered the ribeye sandwich and some wings to go. Food was great, prices were reasonable (10 for 8 bone in wings), and the bartender Sam was attentive and friendly. Bonus points for having interactive game shows on the TV ”

Needless to say, I have been to The Works Tavern a few times and it's some of the best food in Chicago, especially on the south side. Mike is a culinary expert and my last visit proved it. I legitimately had the best Philly Cheesesteak I've ever had. The steak was juicy, the bread was soft and the cheese was super cheesy (10/10). The food is always fresh, the beer is always cold and my kids love the pizza! On our last visit, we ordered the fried zucchini, a pepperoni pizza, wings, and the Philly cheesesteak. Everything was delicious and we washed it down with 3 Pacifico beers. Can't beat that. ”
